Neal Thomas, Rock Star!!

About two weeks ago, Kelley, Neal Thomas and I went to a fundraiser for Gerald Allen, our next Alabama State Senator--we hope! Our friends of the Spiller Family were providing the entertainment for the evening with their band, Michael and the Memories...and they are fantastic musicians!! Our plan was to pop in, see some friends and family, and then head home for our regular night-time routine. Well, that planned changed as soon as Neal Thomas discovered his LOVE for the stage! You know he is the usual "center of attention" but this was a whole new level of fun for Neal Thomas!!!

He started dancing in front of the stage and sweet Mrs. Joan pulled him on stage with a maraca, and he felt like he was right at home in the spotlight! He was swaying to the music and shaking his maraca to the rhythm! These pics show Joan, Mike, and Shane "kissing him goodbye" after his first song...

BUT, Neal Thomas was NOT finished with the stage...here he is climbing back on for another number!

The Spillers were SO SWEET to let him stay and play the entire time we were there!
